Prof. (Dr.) Priya Sepaha is Professor of Law. She is presently holding the position of Director (Law) at Oriental University Indore, (India). She obtained M.Phil (English) degree from Ravi Shankar University, Raipur, LL.B from Barkatullah University, Bhopal and LL.M (Criminology) from Devi Ahilya University, Indore. She did her Ph.D (Law) from Jamia Milia Islamia, New Delhi. The topic, for research was “Psychopath behaviour: A need to therapeutic approach”. She has taught core subjects like – Criminology, Criminal Law, Personal Law, Torts, Arbitration, Election Law along with allied subjects like – Communication Skills, English and Contemporary issues to students in various colleges located at Bhopal, New Delhi and Indore. She is also a Senior Peer Reviewer in ECPEL Conference Japan, Member of Reviewer Committee HSSMR, UAE, Member of Editorial board of WASET, U.S.A. and Member of Global Research and Development Services.
She is a passionate writer on various aspects of Criminal Law, Criminology, Penology and Victimology. She has written a book on “Penology and treatment” and “Comparative Cr.P.C.” and “Probation and Parole”. She has also written many articles on Psychopaths, mentally ill criminals, gender issues, crime against women, honour killing, surrogacy, incest, Trans gender, sexual abuse etc. in many National and International Journals. She has presented papers in many International Conferences in Oxford (U.K.), Cambridge (U.K.), Brighton (U.K.), Singapore, Bangkok and Khon Khen University (Thailand). She had the distinction of being the Keynote speaker in the International conference held at Cambridge. She has also chaired the sessions at International Conferences held at Oxford and Cambridge. She was adjudged the best presenter at the International Conference held at Singapore. She is awarded by Swami Vivekananda Excellence Award 2017 in the field of “Academic Administration” by World’s Achiever’s Foundation and Confederation of Indian Universities, Delhi.
